Prolog opens eighth warehouse in East Midlands

Prolog has opened its eighth high-capacity warehouse and administrative facility in the East Midlands. The 115,000 sq. ft. high-bay unit became operational in August, one month ahead of schedule.

Constructed on part of the former Kodak site at Sherwood Park, Nottingham, it brings Prolog’s footprint on the prestige business park at Annesley to more than 850,000 sq. ft.

Designated as ‘Phase 8’, Prolog’s newest facility has two 2,500 sq. ft. mezzanine floors, mainly for administrative staff. Internal storage and production configuration will depend on client requirements.

Sales Director Ian Dignum commented: “Prolog’s continued investment in capacity reflects the growing demand for nimble, versatile storage and logistics solutions.

“No two Prolog clients are the same; and as every business evolves its outsourcing requirements can be subject to rapid and unexpected change. Prolog keeps a step ahead because our warehouses have flexibility and scalability designed in.

“Phase 8 is our latest site and also one of our biggest, and Prolog’s commitment to proactive ‘Business Driven Account Management’ is reflected in its design. The location of office spaces will allow Account Managers to ‘live over the shop’ so as to optimise day-to-day contact will all operational aspects of their clients’ campaigns.”
